Current Research Interests

Dr. Ostrovnaya is focused on developing and applying statistical methods in cancer genomics. One of her research projects involves methodology for distinguishing second primary tumors from metastases using mutational profiles. Other interests include developing new methods for investigating tumor heterogeneity and prognostic modeling using high throughput molecular data. Dr. Ostrovnaya is a biostatistician for the head and neck, translational kidney and bladder cancer oncology groups.
