Overview of MSK Counseling Center
Counselors at Memorial Sloan Kettering offer services for individuals, couples, and families. Our counselors, who include both psychiatrists and psychologists, are also available to patients during their hospital stay. The Counseling Center welcomes all people with cancer who are receiving care at MSK, as well as their family, caregivers, and friends.
MSK’s many support groups are open to our patients, their family, and friends.

Services Offered
At the Counseling Center, we offer:
- individual and group counseling
- caregiver counseling and support
- couple and family therapy
- psychiatry services for adults, children, and adolescents
- mindfulness-based therapy
- neuropsychological testing and cognitive rehabilitation
- sexual therapy
- care for older patients
- bereavement support
Care Team
At Memorial Sloan Kettering, doctors, nurses, and other specialists work together on treatment teams for each patient. This means that your care team is highly experienced in caring for people with the type of cancer you have. In addition to your medical care, your team will also develop a plan to care for your total well-being, including support for your family and loved ones.
You can come to our Counseling Center for support regardless of whether you’re an MSK patient.
Visiting the MSK Counseling Center
Parking Information
Parking for the MSK Counseling Center is located at Bristol Garage, 300 East 56th Street, between First and Second Avenues.
To receive discounted parking, patients and visitors must have their parking ticket validated at the concierge desk in the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion. Shuttle service is provided from Bristol Garage to the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion every 20 minutes.
Several additional parking garages are also located nearby, but no discount is available:
- 53rd Street between Second and Third Avenues
- 54th Street between Second and Third Avenues
