I am an oncologist who specializes in treating people with multiple myeloma. The increase in new treatments in the past several years makes this a very exciting time for me and other specialists who care for people with this disease. Our team offers patients the highest-quality care as well as the newest treatments through clinical trials. These research studies will improve care and increase the chance of a good outcome for all of our patients.

My research work involves developing innovative ways to use the immune system to treat cancer. We are conducting clinical studies of medicines that enhance the immune response as well as laboratory studies aimed at understanding how cancers such as multiple myeloma are able to evade the immune response. We hope to develop new ways to treat our patients through these studies and through laboratory research. 

What I Do at MSK

A myeloma specialist is a doctor with special training in diagnosing and treating myeloma.

A cellular therapy specialist is a doctor with special training in using cell therapies to treat health conditions such as cancer. Therapies can include chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy.

Overall good experience. Im came to MSK from out of state for a second opinion on Multiple Myeloma. It was the most helpful and informative experience that I have had since I was diagnosed 2 months ago. Dr Lesokhin was informative, easy to understand, answered all my questions and I left the visit in a great state of mind with a feeling of hope.

Doctor explained me tests results, discussed my conditions, reviewed additional info that I brought to the appointment and gave some recomendations. Doctor Lesokhin made sure that I fully understand all the topiccs that we touched during the visit.
