P3 editing (Choi et al. 2023):

As an alternative to ENGRAM, we devised a novel strategy that converts protein-protein interaction/proximity events into genome editing. P3 editing (Protein-Protein Proximity editing) operates on a “split-sensor” design, activating CRISPR guide-RNA components when proteins interact or come close in space.

We are continually enhancing the performance of these sensors and recorders and developing new strategies to expand the range of cellular events we can record. Our aim is to apply these tools to in vitro and in vivo models, uncovering how cell-fate decisions are programmed.
