I am a hematologist-oncologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers, including acute leukemias, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and myelodysplastic syndrome.

I see patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Bergen and Memorial Sloan Kettering Monmouth in New Jersey.

I chose medicine as a career because I was always intrigued by science and human biology. I was inspired by my mentors in the field to choose malignant hematology as a specialty. Myeloid malignancies and leukemias are a heterogenous group of disorders, with treatment approaches ranging from active monitoring to the use of targeted therapies and chemotherapies, among other treatments. As a physician, I focus on tailoring care to each patient and addressing their individual needs. I believe that treatment decisions should be made together with the patient and their family or caregivers.

I work with an excellent team of nurses and supportive care teams, including social workers. I also collaborate with my colleagues who are part of the bone marrow transplant team to provide excellent care to our patients.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, we have the expertise as well as access to provide patients with the latest treatment options and clinical trials. I have been principal investigator for several clinical trials to research new approaches for myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and leukemia.

When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy painting oil portraits and gardening.
