Get to Know Me

I’m a hematologic oncologist who is an expert in treating and managing blood cancers and blood disorders. This includes acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. I also see patients for clonal hematopoiesis (CH) at our CH clinic. CH is a rare condition where a single blood cell develops a genetic mutation. This can lead to blood cancers such as myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia.

Together with my team on the Leukemia Service, we provide care that is guided not only by each person’s needs but also by the latest treatment options. I see patients at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. 

Patients often have questions about how effective a treatment might be and the side effects that can come with it. I will speak openly and honestly with you about what to expect during your care journey. A cancer diagnosis can be a difficult time and I will take the time to get to know you and work with you to deliver the best care. My team and I will monitor you closely and work to make sure you are comfortable every step of the way.

I am passionate about finding new and better treatments for our patients. This drives me to take part in clinical research that can improve results for patients and help more and more people affected by blood cancer in the future.

I’m a leukemia specialist, which is a doctor with special training in diagnosing and treating leukemia (loo-KEE-mee-uh). This cancer starts in tissue that forms blood, such as bone marrow.
