I’m a physician assistant with a focus on oncology (cancer care). I have special training in caring for people with who have a higher chance of getting certain cancers.

My focus is on genetic risk factors for pancreatic adenocarcinoma, including family history and germline changes (mutations or variants). I also provide care for people with pancreatic cystic neoplasms. I see patients at the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion.

When people meet with me, they’re often concerned about their risk of getting pancreatic cancer. Sometimes, they’re also worried about the potential risks for their family members.

I’ll talk with you about current guidelines and information around screening and surveillance. When we watch you over time for signs of cancer, it’s called surveillance or monitoring. We’ll talk about a plan that’s best for you, based on your risk factors.

Here are some common questions I hear from the people in my care:

  • What’s my risk for getting pancreatic cancer?
  • What can I do to help lower my risk?
  • How does finding pancreatic cancer early change how well treatment works?

I chose a career in healthcare because I enjoy building relationships with my patients and being an advocate for them. When I work with you, I want you to feel heard. I want you to know I’ll address your concerns and answer your questions.

I take care of patients, but I’m also involved in clinical research. I help with the enrollment and data collection process for 2 research studies. The research focus is heritable risk for pancreatic adenocarcinoma.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, travelling, and exercising.
