I am a nurse practitioner (NP) with over seven years of experience in supportive care. I am certified as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. I provide care for people with all types of cancer and see patients at MSK Monmouth. My primary goal is helping with my patient’s symptom management and supporting their goals of care.

When patients meet with me, they are often concerned about pain and other physical and emotional symptoms related to their cancer or cancer treatment. I assess and treat these symptoms. The questions that I most commonly hear from the people in my care include:

  • What is palliative/supportive care?
  • Will you work together with my oncologist?
  • When do I see you again?

I chose a career in healthcare because I wanted to provide support for people going through challenging health experiences. When I work with patients, I make sure to listen and acknowledge their concerns and help to support them and their family through difficult times.

Currently, I am on the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Grand Rounds Committee helping to coordinate APP education on a monthly basis. I am also helping to update a book chapter in a palliative care textbook with some of my colleagues.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, and baking fun treats!
