Since becoming a nurse and joining Memorial Sloan Kettering in 1982, I have taken on many roles, including inpatient staff nurse, charge nurse, critical care nurse, and nurse leader. I have acquired knowledge and expertise in hematology, oncology, critical and postoperative care, general medicine, and more.
Upon obtaining a Master of Nursing Administration degree in 2000, I accepted a nurse leader position in the hospital’s ambulatory setting. I collaborate with nursing, medical, and administrative staff to support the lymphoma, myeloma, solid tumor, head and neck, medicine, and endocrine teams. My responsibilities include recruiting, retaining, and providing professional development opportunities for more than 65 nurses.
