Tracy Gosselin

Tracy Gosselin, PhD, RN, FAAN, is the Senior Vice President, Chief Nurse Executive, and Chair of Nursing at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Dr. Gosselin leads the Magnet®-recognized Department of Nursing, which includes 5,000 highly skilled nurses and nursing support staff across MSK’s care locations in New York and New Jersey.

Dr. Gosselin helps shape MSK’s overall strategic priorities and works to uphold MSK’s tradition of nursing excellence. She is also responsible for improving quality, safety, and the overall experience for patients and ensures that nurses at MSK continue to influence decisions involving their work.

A highly experienced and accomplished nurse executive, Dr. Gosselin has more than two decades of nursing leadership experience. She started her career as an oncology nurse at Duke University Hospital in 1993. After holding a variety of clinical and administrative roles, she was appointed Chief Nursing and Patient Care Services Officer in 2016, helping transform the hospital’s clinical and caregiver support programs and quality and safety initiatives. She also assisted with leading the hospital’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Gosselin earned her bachelor’s in nursing degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts; her master’s in nursing degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina; and her PhD degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a member of many professional organizations including the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Sigma Theta Tau, the Oncology Nursing Society, the American Nurses Association, and the North Carolina Nurses Association. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
