Students will join members of the department of medical oncology- division of solid tumor oncology and hematologic malignancies, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Basking Ridge. They will have the opportunity to participate in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients with various types of cancers (including thoracic, gastrointestinal, gynecological, genitourinary, breast, sarcomas, lymphoma and leukemia, among others). Students will attend two to four weeks of outpatient clinics where they will be expected to assist in new patient and follow-up evaluations. Students will additionally, have the opportunity to participate in the infusion suite. Students are expected to attend disease specific disease management team (DMT) meeting which including didactics and tumor board discussions, as directed by faculty, and attend medical grand rounds.
