Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s residencies offer rich educational opportunities in an academic medical center dedicated to cancer research, patient care, and education. Our renowned Graduate Medical Education and other training programs prepare physicians for cancer care leadership roles around the world.

Physical Therapy Oncology Residency Program
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Physical Therapy Oncology Residency Program is a comprehensive training experience for physical therapists covering myriad of aspects of assessment and treatment of the individual presenting with functional impairments resulting from cancer and cancer treatments.
Radiation Oncology Residency
This four-year radiation oncology residency trains residents in modern radiotherapy techniques and includes a dedicated year of protected research time.
Therapeutic Medical Physics Residency
The Medical Therapy Physics Residency has two options. The first option is a 4-year hybrid program in which a two-year grant-funded research project training is followed by a two-year clinical residency training in Medical Therapy physics. The second options is a 2-year clinical residency training only residency. This option is only available when announced.
Thoracic Surgery Residency Program
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center offers a two-year, thoracic-track, ACGME-accredited Thoracic Surgery Residency Program for surgeons who have completed a general surgery residency program.
Transitional Year Residency Program
This one-year residency provides a well-balanced graduate medical education in multiple clinical disciplines. Electives can be selected from many specialties and subspecialties within many areas.
