While we stay home to flatten the curve of COVID-19, hardworking healthcare professionals are putting in long hours on the front lines. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is encouraging our healthcare heroes to take a moment to recharge during this challenging time. Numerous spaces throughout MSK have been redesigned to give employees a place to take a break, grab a snack, and unwind.

While maintaining a safe distance from one another, MSK staff members have been visiting dedicated relaxation spaces, such as the Indoor R & R Lounge, Zen Den, Relaxation Room, and Outdoor R & R Lounge. The Zen Den and Relaxation Room specifically offer quiet areas for meditation, yoga, and relaxation. The Integrative Medicine Service is offering three virtually guided classes a day as well as on-demand recorded video and content sessions that are available throughout the day and night for staff to engage with independently. Both R & R Lounges offer beverages and snacks along with games and self-guided activities, and the Outdoor R & R Lounge provides a place to safely enjoy the sunshine.

MSK is grateful for the many donations of masks, gowns, food, and beverages from the community. These generous gifts can also be found in the MSK relaxation spaces.
