I am a clinical social worker who cares for people with leukemia and people who have had surgery for head and neck cancers. I provide psychosocial support for patients at Memorial Hospital. When patients meet with me, we explore their disease narrative and the types of support that they need to help cope with their diagnosis.
Some of the most common questions and concerns that I hear from my patients are:
- How to talk with family and friends about their illness
- How to cope with lengthy and/or repeat admissions
- How to advocate for themselves to ensure their care needs are met
I take the time to listen, ask questions, and guide patients to appropriate resources. It is important to me that my patients feel heard and seen after meeting with me.
When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and exploring different neighborhoods in New York City.
