I am a licensed clinical social worker who cares for people with cancer who are being treated as outpatients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Monmouth. I conduct assessments of patients’ and caregivers’ mental and emotional health, provide counseling, assist with practical services, and make referrals to community agencies. Previously, I worked at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, primarily with people diagnosed with breast cancer and genitourinary cancers.
I have additional training in couples therapy from the Gottman Institute. I have also completed the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training for Clinicians: Providing Supportive Care for Cancer Patients and Survivors program through City of Hope.
I am interested in mindfulness-based coping techniques, addressing the sexual side effects of cancer and its treatment, the unique needs of young adults with cancer, pain management, and palliative care.
