I am an MD-PhD student in the laboratory of cell biologist Lydia Finley. Our lab focuses on the role of cellular metabolism and nutrient utilization in cell fate decisions. In particular, I am interested in how metabolic-epigenetic crosstalk is regulated during the earliest stages of exit from naive pluripotency in embryonic stem cells. As an MD-PhD student, I decided to join GSK because it offers an emphasis on small class sizes, comprehensive core coursework, and strong mentorship opportunities.
