My first research experience was in high school, but I had no idea what I was doing! It is great to reflect on how much I have grown as a scientist, in part due to the Gerstner Sloan Kettering program. I love how supportive the graduate school administrators and staff are, not to mention all of my fellow schoolmates. And New York City is full of diverse cultures and everything that comes with them, like hundreds of types of cuisine.
