I am an MD-PhD student originally from Ellicott City, Maryland with a background in biomolecular NMR. I am interested in how cancer-causing proteins self-assemble with diverse cofactors to drive oncogenic gene expression. My ultimate goal is to use this knowledge to design new therapies. My current research in the lab of cancer biologist and pediatric oncologist Alex Kentsis focuses on the assembly mechanisms and regulators of oncogenic complexes in high-risk acute myeloid leukemia and childhood sarcomas. More broadly, I am interested in working at the intersection of cancer research and clinical oncology. As a GSK student, I have the privilege of working and studying within a unique community of physicians and scientists, as well as a supportive network of mentors and students.
