My research has focused on the development of novel statistical and bioinformatic methodologies that facilitate the study of translational research questions in cancer genomics and immuno-oncology.

Physician-scientist Samuel Singer studies the genomic alterations that define new targets for therapy in sarcoma. I am a surgical oncologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue sarcoma. I have extensive experience with this group of cancers, and am one of just a few surgeons in the world focused solely on treating sarcoma patients. My years of experience have enabled me to devise surgical techniques that improve the ability to completely remove these tumors. In addition to my clinical sarcoma practice, I conduct laboratory research to develop new methods to improve the diagnosis and treatment of sarcoma. I lead both a National Cancer Institute Specialized Program in Research Excellence (SPORE) and the Sarcoma Genome Project.

Interventional radiologist Constantinos Sofocleous leads research in the optimization of image-guided therapies for colorectal cancer metastases.

Computational biologist Ruslan Soldatov develops computational methods to study cell fate decisions and somatic evolution in normal tissues and cancer.

Physician-scientist David Solit studies human oncology and pathogenesis, genomics, oncogenes and tumor suppressors, cancer therapeutics, and clinical trials.

Dr. Solomon is an interventional radiologist whose team investigates novel minimally invasive, image-guided therapies and their biologic and immunologic interactions.

Cell biologist Meng-Fu Bryan Tsou studies cell cycle control of centrosome duplication and degeneration, as well as cilia assembly and disassembly.

The Tulpule lab studies how cells compartmentalize critical cellular processes with a focus on biomolecular condensates in cancer.

Molecular geneticist Britta Weigelt studies the genomics of gynecologic cancers and the use of circulating cell-free DNA for disease monitoring and the identification of therapy resistance mechanisms.

Molecular biologist Xiaolan Zhao studies chromosomal organization, genome integrity, DNA replication and repair, dynamic protein modification.
