Hi! My name is Arsalan, I am from Los Angeles, California and I graduated with a B.S in Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) this past year. I am currently doing a gap at MSK as a Research Technician in the Proteomics Core before I pursue more education. During undergrad, I acquired a wide range of research experience through internships in biology and organic chemistry labs at UCSB and Caltech. I also balanced time being an active community member on my college campus through my various part-time jobs such as a Basic Needs Advisor and Wellness Center Lead. Now, at MSK, I am learning to use mass spectrometry-based sequence analyses of proteins and peptides with the goal of identification, relative quantitative analysis, and post-translational modification (PTM) analysis, and offer support to fellow researchers and scientists in the lab. In my spare time, I like photography, fashion, cooking, and exploring new places in the city.
