How have you been?
What I love about my practice is the time I get to spend with my patients — making treatment decisions together and helping guide them through challenging times.
My name is Emily Feld and I’m a medical oncologist at MSK. I see patients with bladder, prostate, kidney, and testicular cancers.
My expertise is in developing treatment plans that utilize chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and molecularly targeted therapies.
Your blood work all looks great today.
When I first meet with a patient, we spend a lot of time going over all of the different treatment options. We spend time having in-depth conversations about exactly what to expect.
One of the unique things about MSK is our extensive clinical trial portfolio. Many of the clinical trials that have been started at MSK have gone on to result in FDA approvals for new drug therapies that we now use all the time, routinely, for our patients.
Just recently in the last year, we have a new therapy approved for metastatic prostate cancer, which was developed in part due to pioneering work of some of my colleagues here at MSK. I have a lot of hope for the future of oncology and the future of my patients who now have so many more treatment options available to them than they ever have in the past.
At MSK Commack, we really have all of the same resources and opportunities for patients that we do at our main campus. I’m able to provide care, including access to cutting-edge treatments, in a setting that’s closer to home for patients and more accessible.
There are so many things I love about working at MSK. It’s such a privilege to be able to work with people who are so devoted and passionate about taking care of cancer patients.
