What I Do at MSK

As a radiologist and nuclear medicine physician, I specialize in diagnosing various types of malignancies, with a focus on brain, head and neck, and pediatric neoplasms. Additionally, I am keenly interested in the potential of treating cancer by using radioactive particles (radionuclides), which allows for simultaneous diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

I gained my MD degree and completed my initial diagnostic radiology residency in Ukraine and then pursued advanced training through fellowships in neuroradiology, oncologic imaging, and molecular imaging and therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). This training has given me expertise in advanced cancer imaging and molecular therapy. 

My passion for the field of oncology was sparked early in my career. I saw firsthand the power of early diagnosis and treatment in improving patient outcomes, and I wanted to be part of that transformative process. My training at MSK further fueled my interest, giving me exposure to cutting-edge technologies and groundbreaking research. 

In my current role as a faculty member on the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Service, I am able to combine and apply everything that I have learned and love in different areas. I find it incredibly rewarding to work in a field where I can help improve patient outcomes and provide hope and support to those facing a cancer diagnosis.

A radiologist is a doctor with special training in using imaging to diagnose and treat disease. Imaging includes X-rays, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
