Get to Know Me
I am a medical oncologist dedicated to the care of people with breast cancer. I see patients at MSK Nassau in Long Island.
A diagnosis of breast cancer can be life-changing, and the specific challenges involved will vary from patient to patient. It is my aim to help patients and their families navigate this uncertain time; I make it my mission to do so in a compassionate, positive manner that meets each patient’s unique set of values, perspectives, and life milestones. My goal at the end of every visit is for each patient to clearly understand what lies ahead and feel empowered to make informed decisions every step of the way.

My research focuses on improving the effectiveness of breast cancer therapies. Like patient care, this is not a “one size fits all” approach. By uncovering the molecular “clockwork” of different types of breast cancer, we can understand why some therapies work better than others in specific cases. To this end, I hope to leverage our understanding of cancer genomics (genes and the genome) to develop biomarkers that tell us if the cancer will respond to treatment. The ultimate goal of this research is to tailor therapies to each patient, based on the molecular characteristics of their cancer.
I am very fortunate to work alongside remarkable colleagues in pathology, radiology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and plastic surgery, as well as our world-class nurses, advanced practitioners, pharmacists, and clinical administrative staff. I want each of my patients to leave the clinic feeling like the most important member of this care team.
