My journey in medicine was profoundly shaped by watching members of my family face cancer when I was growing up. This experience instilled in me a lifelong ambition to not only advocate for and treat cancer patients, but also work tirelessly towards improving how they are treated. I’m particularly interested in developing personalized treatment approaches that consider each patient’s unique genetic profile and the characteristics of the type of cancer they have been diagnosed with.

When meeting with patients, I often hear concerns about the potential side effects of radiation therapy and how it might impact their quality of life. I take the time to explain the treatment process in detail, discussing both the benefits and potential risks. Together, we work to create a treatment plan that aligns with their goals and values.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is participating in clinical trials that test new radiation therapy techniques and combinations with other systemic therapy agents. These studies not only offer patients access to cutting-edge treatments but also contribute to our growing understanding of cancer biology and therapy.

At MSK, I’m grateful to be part of a team of world-class experts dedicated to pushing the boundaries of cancer care. I’m committed to combining rigorous scientific inquiry with compassionate patient care to improve outcomes for those facing cancer. In the past, my doctoral research has focused on investigating how mutations in DNA repair proteins can cause breast cancer.

During my residency at MSK, my research examined how cancer cells develop resistance to cancer therapies and how we can target resistance mechanisms to improve patient outcomes. My years of research experience drive my passion for understanding the molecular basis of cancer and exploring ways to leverage this knowledge for better treatments.

Outside of the clinic and lab, I enjoy running, watching sports, and spending time with my family. These personal pursuits remind me of the importance of quality time with loved ones — a perspective I bring to my interactions with patients and their families.

As always my experiences at MSK are stellar with each and every single person treating me in the most positive, supportive and professional manner! As another aspect of my cancer treatment begins I am completely satisfied with the outline of treatment Dr. David Billing has provided for me to lessen the burden of that my disease has on the quality of my life ahead! His explanation and response to all my questions was reassuring and complete! His staff was supportive and thorough in helping me thru the steps needed to begin the process of treatment!

The doctors, the surgeons, the nurses, the medical staff, the technology at MSK is possibly probably the best in the whole country. There's absolutely nothing amiss with that. I recommend it to anyone to come from around the world for treatment. The details, the scheduling, the people that are supposed to deliver supplies to you, et cetera, et cetera, that could use some market improvement. The professional staff is the best in the business.
