Eleni Stavrou, MD
Breast Medical Oncologist
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Physician
I am a medical oncologist whose clinical practice is dedicated solely to the care of patients with all stages and subtypes of breast cancer, including estrogen receptor-positive, HER2-positive, and triple-negative breast cancer. I have expertise in a variety of interventions, such as chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, antibody-based therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.
When a novel therapy offered through one of our clinical trials represents the best treatment option, I work with my patients to identify the trial that most closely aligns with their individual goals and needs. The progress that we have achieved in breast cancer is exciting, and I enjoy being able to extend the most cutting-edge treatments to my patients.

I practice at Memorial Sloan Kettering Bergen, where I collaborate with other breast cancer specialists to provide the same quality of care that patients would receive in Manhattan in the community in which they live. This helps to reduce the amount of time that patients spend traveling (cancer treatment can be time-consuming), giving them more time to do the things that they enjoy.
I was drawn to medical oncology because of my love of science, interest in forming meaningful long-term relationships with patients, and ability to help people during a very vulnerable time in their lives. My goal is for my patients to feel knowledgeable about their diagnosis and well-supported throughout their care journey. To that end, when tailoring treatment recommendations, I take a holistic approach that considers a person’s medical, physical, emotional, and social needs. I pride myself on providing the utmost compassionate care while working closely with my patients to develop personalized treatment plans that minimize side effects and maximize therapeutic benefits and quality of life. Overall, one of the best parts of my job is getting to know my patients and their families on a personal level.
Outside of the clinic, I conduct research on improving cancer care delivery to better the patient experience and study the use of telemedicine in oncology. When I am not working, I love spending time with my family, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
