Elizabeth Pedowitz, MD
Neurologist & Supportive Care Physician
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Physician
I am a physician with specialty training and board certification in palliative medicine, neurology, and neuromuscular medicine. As a member of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Supportive Care Service, I work in the inpatient and outpatient settings managing complex symptoms, including but not limited to pain, nausea/vomiting, and fatigue.
My background in neurology and neuromuscular medicine gives me unique expertise and insight into the neurologic complications of cancer, and I have a particular interest in providing supportive care to those living with brain tumors.

My priority is learning about the person behind the patient; I focus on each individual’s unique goals and values across all stages of illness and treatment. I do this while partnering closely with the primary oncologist and other team members. Our Supportive Care Service recognizes the importance of an interdisciplinary team-based approach that includes a nurse, social worker, chaplain, and pharmacist who work together to best manage symptoms, relieve distress, and provide support to people living with cancer and their loved ones.
I have a passion for education and enjoy working with fellows, residents, medical students, and other members of the MSK community. I am especially interested in teaching communication skills to clinicians and educating others on the small but growing field of neuropalliative care. I also recently joined MSK’s Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship leadership team as Associate Program Director and take great pride in helping train our fellows. Outside of the hospital, I most enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and rescue dog, playing tennis, reading fiction, and trying out new restaurants.
