Advancements are continually being made in radiation therapy options. This ongoing development allows significant progress in using data to deliver patient-tailored care. I run clinical trials that aim to decrease radiation therapy-related side effects and increase the effectiveness of cancer treatment. I also have significant experience working with cancer data sets on an institutional, multi-institutional, and national level. I have published studies in which I investigate cancer therapies, disparities in cancer care and outcomes, and prognostic factors associated with survival.
Cancer is a life-changing diagnosis. I understand the emotional toll it takes on patients and their loved ones. The fight against cancer requires a thorough understanding of the individual. I listen to my patients’ thoughts about their diagnosis and management and treatment options. At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, patients have access to clinical trials of cutting-edge therapies. I enroll eligible patients in these studies, and I am dedicated to improving the care and treatment of all people with cancer.

We love MSK. Over the past four years everyone has been wonderful to us. From my husband, [patient name removed]'s treatment. The beautiful smile everyone has on their face when they come to help you. It's the most comfortable environment on the terrible circumstances. Thank you, and this guy.

Dr Shin is wonderful and I look forward to seeing him. He is kind and gives you hope in what feels like a hopeless situation. He goes the extra mile and even calls you to make sure you're doing okay which is amazing in light of how busy he is. I really appreciate all that you do for me, Dr. Shin. I feel confident that I am in good hands. Thank you for the referral [patient name removed]
