I am a medical oncologist specializing in treating people with genitourinary cancers. I have more than 45 years of experience as a physician, including two years of active duty as a medical officer in the U.S. Army. I have been a member of MSK’s Genitourinary Oncology Service since 1993.

This provider is part of a team that was ranked #1 in the nation for Urology Cancer Care this year by U.S. News & World Report.

My clinical focus is on treating people with all stages of prostate cancer including those who have advanced local or high-risk disease and those whose cancer has spread or recurred.  My approach is patient centered; I try to tailor treatment so that it is appropriate to the clinical situation and at the same time meets the patient’s personal needs and goals.  I see patients at two locations, the Kimmel Center at the main campus and at the MSK Ralph Lauren Center in Harlem, where I serve as Medical Director.

The RLCC is a nonprofit treatment center that was created through a partnership between the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation and MSK. Our goal is to ensure that traditionally underserved New Yorkers can get state-of-the-art cancer care. As Medical Director, I strive to preserve this core mission while strengthening the connection between both of our organizations. Part of this work is giving community members access to the latest research breakthroughs and clinical trials.

A genitourinary (jeh-nih-toh-YOOR-ih-nayr-ee) medical oncologist is a cancer doctor who specializes in genitourinary (GU) cancers. This includes bladder, kidney, penis, prostate, and testicular cancers.
