Interventional Radiologist
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Radiologist
As a board-certified interventional radiologist, I perform image-guided, minimally invasive procedures to treat cancer. I use a variety of different strategies to destroy tumors, such as burning (microwave ablation), freezing (cryoablation), shocking (irreversible electroporation), and blocking tumor blood supply (embolization). Often, I combine these techniques to maximize anti-cancer treatment benefit. I also have expertise in various image-guided approaches to support therapy, such as tissue sampling (biopsy), drainage of infections, and placement of venous access ports or catheters.
At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I specialize in treating cancers of the genitourinary tract (adrenal, kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, and testicular cancers), and of gynecologic origin (cervical, ovarian, and uterine cancers). I perform prostatic artery embolization to treat urinary problems for men with an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia), as well as uterine fibroid embolization to treat heavy periods and/or pelvic pain for women with large uterine fibroids.

My research efforts are centered on the role of molecular imaging in interventional oncology. Molecular imaging techniques such as positron-emission tomography (PET) scans have been groundbreaking for cancer diagnostics. Interventional radiologists like me are harnessing the advantages of molecular imaging for image-guided therapies. Molecular imaging helps us to target metabolically active tumors and assess treatment precision when we are ablating tumors. Through research, I hope to not only advance molecular imaging’s applications in the interventional oncology field, but to also better understand how it relates to radiation dose, procedure efficiency, and cost.
The word “doctor” comes from the Latin word “docēre” (“to teach”)—a word origin that I seek to embrace. I enjoy explaining the nature of diseases and treatment options to patients and their families; breaking down complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand empowers my patients and their loved ones to make informed decisions. I would be honored to be part of your care team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
An interventional (IN-ter-VEN-shun-al) radiologist is a doctor with special training in using image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat disease.
