Mila Gorsky, MD
Breast Medical Oncologist
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Associate Attending Physician
I am a medical oncologist with a focus on breast cancer and women’s health. I see patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, where I work with an experienced team of specialists that includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists. As in all of MSK’s regional locations, patients receive the highest-quality, coordinated care closer to home, minimizing the need for them to travel into Manhattan.
I provide patients with state-of-the-art, compassionate care to help them through this difficult period in their lives. From the first appointment, I strive to help my patients feel more comfortable and at peace with their diagnosis, knowing that they are not alone on this journey. They understand early on that this is a team effort and that I am on their team.

Both cancer and its treatment can create daily challenges for patients. Many are concerned about their quality of life and life expectancy. I take the time to answer questions, explain treatment options and possible side effects, and help weigh risks and benefits. Together, we work to develop a personalized, comprehensive care plan — which includes supportive care from our team of nurses, nutritionists, social workers, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers — that offers the best possible outcome for each patient.
I am an active member of the Breast Medicine Service and participate in all service meetings. Here, we routinely discuss complicated cases, developments in the field, and new and ongoing clinical studies at MSK. I help patients navigate complex care decisions, which may include the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial at MSK in Basking Ridge or other MSK locations.
As an oncologist, I have a deep desire to change the course of disease for people with cancer, whether the goal is to cure the disease, extend or improve the quality of a person’s life, or provide effective pain relief for symptoms.
I have also always been fascinated with the science of oncology, from how cancer develops and grows to how it becomes resistant to treatment and spreads. It’s exciting to be able to tell patients about new therapies that may benefit them. For example, several effective new drugs have been approved to treat breast cancer, including hormone receptor-positive disease. A number of other treatment options, such as immunotherapy, are being studied for people with triple-negative breast cancer.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling. I love making new memories, and part of that is trying different cuisines and learning how to re-create them at home.
