Get to Know Me

I am a surgeon who specializes in caring for patients with breast cancer. I work closely with colleagues in medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and plastic surgery to deliver exceptional care in a compassionate and caring environment.

I became a breast surgical oncologist to provide the comprehensive long-term treatment and support needed for people with diseases of the breast. This sentiment is most pronounced in patients who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer. My hope is to help guide you, your family, and loved ones through this challenging journey.

I also am passionate about using laboratory-based research to improve our understanding of breast cancer biology. My research focuses on how certain inherited gene mutations that increase a person’s risk for breast cancer may also lead to resistance to standard treatments. Insight into these mechanisms of resistance can help us mitigate risk and define patient-specific treatment algorithms. With a combination of cutting-edge surgery and science, I believe we can conquer breast cancer, together.

In my spare time, I love exploring New York City with my husband and three young boys. We enjoy all that the city has to offer.
