My primary area of interest is to identify novel treatments for people with kidney cancer. I am an active member of the translation kidney cancer research program at MSK. I am also interested in the development of novel methods for early detection of toxicity from immunotherapy treatment.
I strongly believe that over the next few decades, advances in the field of cancer immunology and genetics could help us cure cancer in nearly every patient and I am determined to lead these advances.

The only thing I'd mention that wasn't excellent was the wait time. I know schedules get busy and things pop up unexpectedly-not a problem at all. And this is not aimed at any person in particular, but I would suggest to MSK more communication, especially for patients waiting to hear results of such delicate and unnerving tests. I waited an hour in the office, the waiting room was only maybe 10 minutes. The office itself all alone was an hour. I felt great going in and I got wonderful news. But being alone with your thoughts for one hour in such a situation, I think a quick "Sorry this is taking so long" or "Sorry, busy morning, are you ok?" would do wonders for someone who may be terrified or anxious about what they may hear. Again, that is a general suggestion-not for anyone in particular.
Dr.Shah explained the upcoming procedure pertaining to my CT scan provided details regarding my future medical options was very clear and concise was very impressed with his professionalism. Also, his assistant Mia was very pleasant and caring she covered all the bases pertaining to my first visit at Memorial Sloan Kettering . I will say I was very impressed with the care team. I will highly recommend this facility to any one of my friends and family members.
Went well.
I have been under MSK' care since July 2024. This week was my first meeting with Dr Shah at the hospital. We discussed my biggest concern and I was so grateful that he made a decision to help stop the growth immediately instead of waiting using medication. I left feeling grateful to meeting the Doctor and knowing he will be guiding and helping me going forward.
True Angels work at Sloan Kettering! Thank you for helping me and so many!
