Get to Know Me

I designed and validated the first real-time risk assessment model for thyroid cancer management in which individual risk estimates are modified over time as a function of response to initial therapy. My research continues to center on important management aspects of thyroid cancer, including efforts to better define:

  • The risk of recurrence and death from thyroid cancer for individual patients
  • The role of active surveillance in properly selected patients with low-risk papillary thyroid cancer
  • The proper application of minimalistic management options to better tailor the intensity of therapy and follow-up to the risks of undesirable outcomes

My clinical practice is entirely devoted to the evaluation and management of patients with thyroid cancer.

What I Do at MSK

As you can see, I think the world of Dr Tuttle and his team although he is the one who I most identify with the program experience. I feel like the program has, in a way, defined the course of my health as a woman. I came within a hair's breadth of having my precious thyroid taken from me 8 years ago for nothing.
