Samantha Francis, MD
Supportive Care Physician
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

Patients and caregivers often share their concerns for achieving satisfactory pain and symptom control during their care journey. My goal is to best understand their needs, goals, and deal breakers so that I can partner with and advocate for them as an integral member of their care team. After seeing me as one of their providers, my hope is that patients and their caregivers feel understood, validated, and most of all, cared for.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about participating in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows — as well as my colleagues and house staff — to ultimately deliver the best care to our patients and their families, Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and expanding my cultural awareness.
A supportive care physician is a doctor with special training in care that supports people with cancer. They help improve quality of life and manage the symptoms and side effects of cancer and its treatment.
