I am a board-certified nuclear medicine physician with expertise in gamma imaging, positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT), nuclear cardiology, and radionuclide therapies. What compelled me to the field of nuclear medicine is its focus on the functional aspect of imaging with an emphasis on processes that happen at the cellular and molecular level. Another unique advantage of nuclear medicine in oncology is that it is possible to not only evaluate tumor spread using radiopharmaceuticals, but also to use them for cancer therapy (theranostics).

Earlier in my career, I worked as an attending in various cancer care hospitals in New Delhi, India, where I gained invaluable experience in several aspects of the field. My training and research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and Columbia University further expanded my perspective in image analysis, coordinated patient care, and collaborations with different clinical specialties. Working with the pioneers in my field at MSK and continuously learning new innovations in advanced imaging has been especially rewarding. I feel passionately about my work as a radiologist on the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Service and aim to provide the best patient care.

I have a diverse research profile centered on the use of metabolic imaging and new radiopharmaceuticals in thyroid cancer, skin malignancies, and rare cancers, with a focus on diagnosis, restaging, and treatment response at various stages. As a member of the thyroid and gynecologic oncology disease management teams at MSK, I work closely with other physicians and clinician-scientists to provide excellent quality care to our patients.
