What I Do at MSK

I am a medical oncologist who specializes in caring for women with gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, uterine (endometrial), cervical, and other rare gynecologic cancers. I have a special interest in inherited cancers and also provide counseling and genetic testing.

My research involves studying the genetic and genomic drivers of cancer and how they influence the development of disease. I also run clinical trials using novel therapeutics to target these pathways.

My goal as an oncologist is to be a guide for my patients and their families as we navigate their cancer journey. I work with a wonderful team of surgeons, pathologists, radiation oncologists, nurses, and physician assistants to create individual plans for each patient. As a team, we support them through treatment. I believe in partnership and shared decision-making as we tackle care decisions. This is especially important for decisions around genetic testing and counseling of cancer risk that may involve not only patients but their families. Dealing with a cancer diagnosis is incredibly challenging for patients and their families. I want my patients to know that my team will be with them every step of the way. 

My Role at MSK

A gynecologic (GY-neh-kuh-LAH-jik) medical oncologist is a cancer doctor who specializes in gynecologic cancers. This includes cervical, fallopian tube, ovarian, uterine (endometrial), vaginal, and vulvar cancers.

A clinical geneticist is a scientist with special training in diagnosing and treating genetic conditions. They can help explain your risk of getting a genetic condition that is passed on from parents to children.
