This information explains the support services available at MSK’s Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center. This is also called the Breast and Imaging Center (BAIC).

Food Pantry Program

The food pantry program provides food to people in need during their cancer treatment. For more information, talk with your healthcare provider or call the number above.

Integrative Medicine Service

Our Integrative Medicine Service offers many services to complement (go along with) traditional medical care. These include music therapy, mind/body therapies, dance and movement therapy, yoga, and touch therapy. To schedule an appointment for these services, call 646-449-1010.

You can also schedule a consultation with a healthcare provider in the Integrative Medicine Service. They will work with you to make a plan for creating a healthy lifestyle and managing side effects. To make an appointment, call 646-608-8550.

Nutrition Services

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists can give you advice on how to eat healthy during and after breast cancer treatment. They can help you manage your weight, and side effects of your cancer treatment. They can also address other concerns about your diet and nutrition.

Resources for Life After Cancer (RLAC)

At MSK, care doesn’t end after treatment. The RLAC Program has many services for patients and their families who have finished treatment. These services include seminars, workshops, support groups, counseling on life after treatment, and help with insurance and employment issues.

Sexual Health Programs

Cancer and cancer treatments can have an impact on your sexual health. MSK’s sexual health programs can help you take action and address sexual health issues before, during, or after your treatment.

Social Work

Our social workers can help you, your family, and your friends cope with common issues for people with cancer. We offer specialized programs, including both in-person and online support groups. We can also help with other issues, such as transportation to and from medical appointments, temporary housing, and financial concerns.

Spiritual Care Department

At MSK, our chaplains (spiritual counselors) are available to help support family members. They can listen, pray, contact community clergy or faith groups, or simply be a comforting companion and spiritual presence. Anyone can request spiritual support, no matter their formal religious affiliation. MSK also has an interfaith chapel that’s open to everyone.

If you have an emergency, call 212-639-2000 and ask for the chaplain on call.
