Positions are available for postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and technicians in the research group of John Maciejowski at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. We are a basic research laboratory taking a multidisciplinary approach to understand the origins of mutation and rearrangement in the cancer genome. Major current focuses of the lab include investigations into the fate of dicentric chromosomes and their impact on genome integrity and the contributions of APOBEC cytidine deaminases to somatic mutation (link to Projects page). We are looking for talented and creative individuals with a passion for science and a desire to work in a collaborative and fun environment to join us.
The laboratory is part of an exceptionally strong group of researchers investigating diverse aspects of genome integrity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Molecular Biology Research Program (https://www.mskcc.org/research-areas/programs-centers/molecular-biology). MSKCC is a top-ranked comprehensive cancer center located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. MSKCC is committed to the training and career development of its postdoctoral researchers (https://www.mskcc.org/education-training/postdoctoral). The wider community includes Weill Cornell Medical College and Rockefeller University and offers further training and opportunities for scientific interaction.
