Gina S. Yanza is currently an Informatics Specialist in the MSK Digital Informatics & Technology Solutions. She was a Clinical Research Coordinator supporting Dr. Jada Hamilton’s research portfolio including: “Cancer patients’ decision making and family communication about secondary findings from tumor genomic profiling” and “Evaluating an alternative clinical genetics cancer care delivery model: A pilot study of patient outcomes.” During her time at MSK, she shadowed with the Clinical Genetics Service and assisted with the COVID-19 vaccine outreach initiative at MSK and the community in Harlem Abyssinian Baptist Church. Gina’s main goal is to promote initiatives to improve health care disparities and bring awareness of the techniques that are meant to help and lower the risk of diseases. She received her BS in Biology from SUNY Plattsburgh and is working towards her next steps in education. Gina loves to cook, run, travel and hike.
