Since 2007 the Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center has issued an annual Request for Applications within the Memorial Sloan Kettering community with the goal of supporting innovative research projects that may not qualify for other sources of funding. In addition, the Center began offering funding for Shared Resource proposals starting in 2008 in an effort to make available to Memorial Sloan Kettering research labs expensive resources for meritorious projects that can only be justified on a shared-use basis.
