As a Stamps Scholar at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying Chemistry, Molecular/Cellular Biology, and Computer Science, Alex is passionate about addressing cancer using a hybrid of humanistic medicine and cutting-edge technology. He’s conducted award-winning research in clinical informatics and is working on developing a medical AI startup. Working alongside other brilliant researchers from the MSK Advanced Computing and Oncology Lab studying AI in medical imaging and clinical text analysis, Alex is excited to utilize a basic science research background augmented with computational tools in a clinical setting to combat cancer, “the emperor of all maladies.
