At MSK EBP Consulting, we have over 60 instructors and mentors who are trained and experienced in teaching and successfully implementing EBP. They are specialists in MSK’s SEEK™ methodology.
Our team is comprised of Nursing Directors, Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nursing Professional Development Specialists, Advanced Practice Providers, Clinical Staff Nurses, Registered Dieticians, and other related healthcare professionals.

Our Leadership Team
Ashley Hole, BSN, MSN, DNP, CPON®, EBP-C
Ashley Hole has worked in various leadership and clinical positions in both adult and pediatric oncology during her time at MSK since 2004. She oversees MSK EBP Consulting and will directly work with healthcare practitioners and organizations to help them find the right package to meet their needs.
Ashley began her EBP journey in 2017 when she received her initial comprehensive training and was tasked with revamping MSK’s policies and procedures to ensure they were evidence-based and a reliable and frequently used resource for clinicians among the organization. For the past five years, she has led the development of a suite of EBP courses, creating a feasible and effective method for clinicians at all levels to learn and incorporate EBP into their daily practice.
Ashley received her BSN from Georgetown University in 2004, her MSN from Columbia University in 2008 and her DNP from Quinnipiac in 2023. She holds a certification in EBP. She has published several articles on her EBP work and looks forward to continuing to share the success of these programs with other healthcare professionals.
Wayne Quashie, Ed.D., CNS, ACNS-BC, AOCNS ®, EBP-C
Starting his career at MSK in 1997, Dr. Wayne Quashie serves as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. As the Director of Nursing for EBP, he collaborates with MSK’s EBP leadership team and various Clinical Nurse Specialists to cultivate a robust evidence-based approach at our institution, while also sharing the team’s expertise with other healthcare organizations.
Wayne received his doctorate from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York City. He is certified as both an Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist from ANCC and an Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
Wayne holds memberships in professional organizations including the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, Oncology Nursing Society, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Nursing Society, and National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. He’s shared his knowledge on Neuro-oncology and Neurosurgery by presenting topics such as Neuro Anatomy and Physiology, Brain Tumors, evidence-based practices, and neurologic emergencies.

Jaclyn Andronico MSN, CNS, AOCNS ®, OCN ®
Jaclyn Andronico is an experienced clinical nurse specialist (CNS) who works at MSK’s Westchester regional location. She has been a nurse since 2007 and a CNS since 2013 at MSK.
Jaclyn provides clinical expertise to various departments of nursing such as infusion, radiology, medicine and surgical practice, radiation oncology, and symptomatic care clinic. She has presented at national conferences such as the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS). She is part of the EBP team at MS, where she participates in teaching classes for SEEK™ and mentors staff on implementing evidence-based practice changes, guiding them in dissemination of their work through publication and presentations.
Jaclyn received her BSN from SUNY Binghamton University and her Master’s in nursing education from NYU. She has been involved with EBP since 2016.
Kizzie Charles, DNP, APRN, AGCNS-BC®, CNOR®
Kizzie Charles is a Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). She started her nursing career at MSK in 2005 as a clinical nurse on a medical-surgical unit and transferred to the operating room (OR) in 2006. As an OR staff RN, Kizzie was the first Chair of the OR Magnet Taskforce and a unit-based OR Practice Council member. Her passion for evidence-based practice (EBP) led Kizzie to pursue a degree as a CNS, enabling her to obtain the role of CNS for the Ambulatory and Main Operating Rooms in 2018.
As the OR CNS, Kizzie successfully has implemented evidence-based strategies that improve patient outcomes, enhance nursing practice, and achieve organizational goals. Notably, Kizzie led initiatives that reduced OR-acquired pressure injuries and launched an innovative surgical smoke evacuation program. Kizzie is an EBP Mentor and teaches EBP sessions for Intro to EBP, Critical Appraisal, EBP Mentor, and SEEK Workshops. Additionally, Kizzie serves as a clinical expert to nurses and interdisciplinary team members. She creates and revises nursing policies and procedures, mentors the OR Unit-Base Practice Council, and sits on interdisciplinary committees establishing guidelines for laser safety and surgical counts.
Kizzie received a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Quinnipiac University, a Master’s degree in Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Long Island University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Geneseo College. Kizzie holds certifications as an Adult-Gerontologic Clinical Nurse Specialist and Certified Perioperative Nurse. Kizzie is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, and the Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses.
Mary Elizabeth Davis, DNP, RN, AOCNS ®
Mary Elizabeth Davis is an oncology clinical nurse specialist. She joined MSK in 1987.
Mary Elizabeth works closely with the nursing department of EBP, helping teach nurses and other healthcare professionals how to carry out literature searches and then critically appraise, and synthesize the evidence found. She mentors others in project design and implementation. She is a certified hospice and palliative care RN, and her clinical interests are focused on supporting patients throughout the continuum of care, especially at the end of life.
She received her BSN from University of Delaware, her Master’s degree from Columbia University and her DNP from Penn State. She has been involved with EBP since 2016.
Nicole Hernandez
Nicole Hernandez serves as MSK’s Administrative Assistant for EBP. She joined our institution in 2020 and is responsible for ensuring that all EBP programs run smoothly. As a key point of contact, she will work with you and your team to make certain that your end-user experience with our classes and programs meets your needs and expectations.
Faye Inumerables, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC®, OCN®
Faye Inumerables, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, OCN, is a Nurse Leader for Evidence-based Practice and Clinical Nurse Specialists. She started her career at MSK in 2010, then worked as a CNS at New York Presbyterian – Lower Manhattan Hospital, before returning to MSK in 2017. At that time, she joined the EBP team as the CNS for the Outpatient Adult Bone Marrow Transplant, Cellular Immunotherapy, and Apheresis Unit. In July, 2021, she took on the Interim Nurse Leader role for the EBP and CNS team.
Faye successfully has led several evidence-based practice changes, most notably the introduction of Penicillin Allergy Testing in the Outpatient Setting, when she served as taskforce lead for this program. She is currently a member of MSK’s Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Chemotherapy Practice Committee, and Nursing and APP Innovation Taskforce.
Faye holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from San Pedro College, Davao, Philippines and a Master’s degree in Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. Faye was selected as one of seven emerging young leaders under age 40, to participate in the Oncology Young Leaders Pilot Program 2022-2023. She holds certifications as an Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist and Oncology Certified Nurse.
Debby Italiano, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, OCN ®
Debby Italiano is a Nursing Professional Development Specialist at MSK, where she supports the David H. Koch Cancer Center Inpatient Unit, Ambulatory Infusion Units, and Verification Nurses. She has worked at MSK since 1999.
Debby is a representative on MSK’s EBP Steering committee, where she works with colleagues to develop class content and make updates based on course evaluations. She also serves as a Nurse planner for multiple EBP programs at the institution, including Introduction to EBP, Critical Appraisal, SEEK™, EBP Mentor Workshop, EBP Journal club, and EBP conference.
Debby received her nursing degree from Walden University. She has been involved in EBP since 2017.
Eleni Kalandranis, MSN, RN, NE-BC, OCN ®, CMSRN
Eleni Kalandranis is a Nurse Leader in Acute Care Nursing at Memorial Hospital. She has been at MSK since 2008. She has been recognized for outstanding work through awards that include the ONS Emerging Nurse Leader Award and the Robbins Family Award for Excellence in Innovation.
Eleni received her BSN from Pace University and her Master’s in Nursing Administration from Mercy College. She began her work with EBP in 2017.
Karen Kinsley MSN RN OCN ®
Karen Kinsley has over 33 years of experience in healthcare. She joined MSK 25 years ago as an Clinical Oncology Nurse in MSK’s Basking Ridge location. She serves as a treating, verification, and charge nurse in the infusion unit. Karen began her career as an Oncology Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Hoboken, NJ, and later worked as an Oncology Case Manager at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
Karen is an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society, American Nursing Association, and Infusion Nursing Society. She has co-authored several publications in evidence-based journals and initiated a policy project with MSK’s Evidence-Based SEEK Program to enhance nursing policy. As a co-mentor and mentor, she supports nurses interested in evidence-based practice and process improvements to improve patient care. At the 2025 Translating Evidence into Practice Conference, she will be a presenter.
Additionally, Karen contributes to the National Workplace Violence Prevention Committee, helping update the ANA’s workplace violence statement, with a focus on addressing verbal abuse in healthcare. She earned her BSN degree from Trenton State College and an MSN degree in Patient Safety and Quality from Southern New Hampshire University.
Nora Love, DNP, OCN®, CURN
Nora Love is an accomplished oncology nurse with 38 years of experience at MSK. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Clinical Nurse Specialist certified in both oncology (OCN®) and urology (CURN), Nora has played a pivotal role in advancing patient care across the organization, specializing in urological issues throughout the continuum of care. Her expertise spans clinical practice, education, and leadership in nursing, with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for patients.
An accomplished author, Nora has contributed to numerous scholarly articles on urological nursing, including an Evidence-Based Guideline and several systematic reviews, advancing the body of knowledge in her field. Her passion for evidence-based practice (EBP) drives her to mentor healthcare professionals and inspire them to implement the latest research into clinical practice, ensuring the highest standards of patient care with improved outcomes.
Nora is an active member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS), the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA), and the European Association of Urologic Nurses (EAUN). Additionally, she has served as the American representative and faculty member of the EAUN for the past 21 years, further establishing her as a global leader in urological nursing.
Dana Mazzella, BSN, RN, OCN®
Dana Mazzella is an Evidence-based Practice Nurse Specialist at Memorial Hospital, where she has worked since 2015. She participated in MSK’s EBP SEEK™ program in 2021, where she focused on tubing misconnections. Her work resulted in policy changes and her manuscript was published in AJN in 2023. She also serves as an EBP mentor.
Dana is a Nursing Quality Management representative for her unit and a Supportive Care Champion. Since 2020, she has been involved with OPEX, working as a nursing lead on several projects. Most recently she led an initiative to decrease length of stay for flap patients and has created a roadmap to recovery for plastic and reconstruction.
Dana received her nursing degree from Catholic University of America.
Kelly Preti, MSN, RN, AGACNP-BC, OCN ®, PMGT-BC
Kelly Preti is a Nurse Practitioner in the Anesthesia Pain Service. She has been working at MSK since 2016 and has been involved in EBP since 2019. She is currently pursuing her DNP-MBA Dual Degree at Johns Hopkins University to advance her clinical and operational skills, as well as to provide high-quality, evidence-based care with cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
Kelly is committed to empowering, mentoring, and collaborating with other nursing and APP professionals to improve outcomes for both patients and staff. She leads the APP QI and Research Development Workshop Committee and serves as a member of the EBP Steering Committee, Ethics Committee, APP QA Committee, APP QI and Research Review Committee. She has led various QI and research projects within MSK including utilizing virtual reality to treat pain and anxiety, exploring the prevalence of and risk factors for abnormal urine drug screens in the oncologic pain population, assessing provider burnout, and educating staff on the practice of sending condolence cards to bereaved family members.
She received her BSN and MSN degrees from Pace University. She is currently pursuing her DNP-MBA Dual Degree at Johns Hopkins University.
Kathleen Short, MSN, CNS, AOCNS®
Kathleen Short began her nursing career at MSK in 2000 as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute Care/Critical Care. In this role, Kathleen has championed EBP in a variety of ways. She participated in MSK’s 2nd CTEP cohort and worked on a project to improve the patient identification process at MSK. The workgroup’s efforts brought all nursing policies and procedures into alignment with one centralized organization patient identification policy and advocated for patient wristbands across the care continuum at MSK. She then served as a mentor in the CTEP Cohort 3 and mentored a team on best practices in code documentation. Kathleen has served as a Mentor for SEEK™ and worked with participants on projects including reducing blood culture contamination and taste alterations during cancer treatment.
Kathleen is a Member of MSK’s EBP Steering and the Intro to EBP/Critical Appraisal Subcommittee. In this capacity she assisted in converting the workshops to a virtual format to maximize attendance. Kathleen teaches Critical Appraisal at the SEEK™, Mentor Workshop, and staff programs. Kathleen has co-authored multiple EPB policies, procedure and Standards of Care including Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Roles and Responsibilities. Additionally, she oversees CNS student clinical placements and collaborates with the CNS team to mentor students on semester long EBP projects. She has co-authored an article on this work entitled Successful Clinical Nurse Specialist Recruitment: Creating a Talent Pipeline.
Kathleen received her BSN from Georgetown University and her MSN from Columbia University. She has been involved in EBP since 2017.
Monique Tarrant, MPH, MSN, RN, AGCNS-BC
Monique Tarrant is a Nurse Leader for Office Practice/ Outpatient Ambulatory Services in MSK’s Commack and Hauppauge regional locations. She has worked at MSK since 2008.
Monique completed CTEP in 2020. She has coauthored various publications on cancer survivorship, oncologic emergencies, and nursing orientation. She has been involved in EBP since when and serves as the co-chair of MSK’s EBP publishing and journal club subcommittee.
Monique received her Master’s in Public Health from City University in New York and her Master’s in Nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She is a member of ONS, NBNA, and AAACN.
Christine Tran, MS, RN, OCN ®, AGCNS-BC
Christine Tran began her nursing career at MSK in 2012. Her interest in EBP first sparked when she joined the Acute Care/Critical Care/Pediatrics Practice Council in 2015 and had the opportunity to review nursing policies. In 2017 she became chair of the Council and worked closely with Council members and an EBP Nurse Specialist to revamp the nursing policies and procedure manual.
Christine has been involved with EBP since 2018. She is a member of the EBP Steering Committee and Intro to EBP/Critical Appraisal Subcommittee. She worked with subcommittee members to create the Critical Appraisal Workshop for staff, and further develop the Intro to EBP Workshops. She has also been a SEEK™ mentor and helped guide her mentees on projects such as improving emotional intelligence in nursing, and including patient engagement strategies to decrease patient falls.
Christine is a Publishing@MSK mentor and lecturer during the SEEK™ program. Christine is a member of the N-CARE Review Board and also mentors staff on the application and EBP process. She also has mentored CNS students on their projects to decrease height/weight documentation errors as well as medication errors.
Christine received an MS degree from Hunter College’s Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist program in January 2018.
